Once the military headquarters during the Spanish Civil war, the Hotel Cala Dor has an interesting history dating back to 1932 when it was a home for the soldiers serving at the old Arab fort.

Spend your days soaking the glorious sunshine by the pool and cooling off with a swim or with a siesta. Take the few footsteps down to bright blue Mediterranean waters and fine white sands. Later, you can wind down with a workout in the gym before a visit to the sauna and hot tub.

Great location, comfortable, clean. Lots of choices at breakfast. Parking was shaded. No real complaints !

Someone else had complained about the parking being down the road - it was a very short walk and we just dropped our bags off at check in to avoid carrying them. A small negative but wasn’t unique to that location, we generally found parking within Mallorca is set up that way.

Pleasant, but not value for money

location is amazing, many good beaches are close to the hotel, direct access to the Cala Petita beach friendly staff on check-in private parking

bed, 2 twin beds moved into one and during the night you can fall in the middle noise, maids wake you up in the early morning by cleaning rooms around towels are old and need to be replaced, few times received yellow dirt towels food/bar and hotel overall were poor quality and overpriced, breakfast buffet is same every morning

Pleasant, but unlikely to be back.

Good location, nice pool and access to the sea.

Bar drinks and food very average in quality and far too expensive. In a very hot location such at this, water should be complimentary or at best very cheap.. not €4.50 a bottle - rip off. Staff, at times, were not friendly or helpful.

Great stay in a lovely local Cala D'or hotel

Really lovely hotel in Cala D'or. Location was excellent, the facilities are great for the price and our room was very spacious with fantastic views of the beach/sea. Fab beach bar underneath the hotel!

The hotel is a little tired in some places (pool etc.) but it didn't impact our stay and the hotel is very clean. Sun loungers outside are a little uncomfortable too but wasn't a huge problem.

Beach access was perfect. Great location for restaurants/bars/activities!

The air con vent in our room was covered in a thick sheet of dust. The pool also needed to be cleaned.

The location is amazing. It seems like a you have your private beach.

The furnitures and decorations of the hotel was very old. There was even a smell in the room coming from the old sofas.

My stay all in all was fantastic!

Breakfast excellent! room had to be changed because the first option was too small and not really a nice ocean view.... very great area dirctly at the beach! Pool and Beach option. The only negative point: in the morning people were doing reservations for their sunbeds.... this is not optimal for this price....

Nice hotel with atmosphere

Great location directly on Cala Petita, with a restaurant that belongs to the hotel. Renovated rooms are nicely decorated and they all have a balcony. Free parking. Breakfast has lots of options, it was ok. Staff was great too. The hotel has a nice boutique atmosphere, different from these packed excursion-like resorts on the surrounding area.

We stayed in a renovated room and the bed looked too small in length. I had my feet almost out. Everything else was very good. Totally recommend it.

Good hotel - fantastic location - expensive

The fitness center was outdated, and no oppening hours. Breakfast very good om general - pour bread, but very good orange juice. The prices at the pool bar at a high level.

Great location, nice and quiet hotel

The hotel is located on Cala Petita, a really nice beach. The sandy area is smaller than Cala Gran which is also 4-5 minutes away on foot. The location of the hotel is particularly good, as you are only 5 minutes away from all the restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets on Cala d'or. The hotel has a free parking space, very close to the hotel, where you enter with an access code. Breakfast was quite good with both international and Majorcan alternatives. The pool area and the pool bar is also nice and very clean. The hotel has daily activities and excursions if you are interested and staff is very helpful.

This is not something the hotel can change or improve but it's still good to know for future guests. This is an adult only hotel and really very quiet and peaceful. But the beach of course is open to everyone. And since it's a nice sandy beach, there're a lot of children running, swimming, playing, and sometimes crying and even screaming. It wasn't really a problem for us, as we preferred the pool area to read/relax.
